PROJECT OVERVIEW

At the Frankfurt Book Fair, for the Guest of Honour, the Philippines, we realized a unique exhibition stand. The design consisted of multiple small pavilion-like structures and stages, where books were displayed. The concept involved a visually playful yet technically complex steel structure, reminiscent of interwoven Mikado sticks.

ROLE

Led the full 3D planning of all pavilion elements. The geometric design demanded high precision and extensive coordination with structural engineers, suppliers, and fabricators. Ensured that the complex interlocking steel elements were not only buildable, but also safe and aligned with the design intent.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

Delivered a structurally sound, intricate pavilion, transforming a seemingly playful design into a precision-engineered installation. Despite the challenging geometry, the project was completed on time and reflected the Philippines’ culture in a unique architectural form.
